The World's Largest Claw Machine

In the holiday season of 2023, iVue hosted a Develop Air project known as the World's Largest Claw Machine. In this futuristic take on the game, players were challenged to control a drone with a winch on it, which had a long wire and a robotic claw at the end of it. Participants had two minutes to navigate the drone, lower the claw over a prize, grab it, and return it to the designated landing zone to claim victory.

The game was designed with intuitive controls, enabling the player to control the drone with an Xbox controller, as well as a winched claw system. This design allowed many novice and first time drone fliers to quickly get a hang of the game.

On the first day of this event, one star player emerged victorious despite the tough weather conditions present that day. Miles was able to adapt to the air currents and latch the claw onto a LEGO Bonsai Tree in the nick of time!

On the 2nd day of the event, we had a great turn out and had a diverse group of contestants show up. Many of them were able to learn how to maneuver the drone within the time limit and win some prizes. A major highlight of the event was that we had many contestants who had never flown a drone, and yet they were still able to experience the thrill of The World's Largest Claw Machine Game.

To wrap it all up, the prizes which went unclaimed in the game were all donated to Toys for Tots.
